Construction engineering and management

Would you like to shape the green city of the future together with us? Work on the largest climate protection project in Vienna? Or make sure that our infrastructure and buildings are in good working order? Then a job in our construction and facilities management division is right for you.

A job you can build on

Our construction division includes all the departments we need for newbuilds and maintenance of our properties. This includes:

  • Building management
  • Civil engineering and management of large-scale projects
  • Construction industry
  • Network development
  • Traffic planning
  • Infrastructure safety
  • Construction controlling

We are also constantly conducting research in various projects to make public transportation even greener, more sustainable and more reliable – a current focus, for example, is how we can use the braking energy of underground trains or the feasibility of carbon-neutral construction sites. That is why we are constantly looking for innovators, enthusiasts and pioneers who want to make a difference.

You don’t have to be an expert to join us.

We have opportunities to join us at every level.

If you don’t have a lot of experience yet, but are passionate about public transport like we are, we can offer you the opportunity to join us as a trainee, research associate or intern.

Construction and facilities management trainee:

As a trainee, you will explore the variety of our tasks in different departments of our construction and facilities management over a period of 18 months. The programme covers several different stations, which we determine according to your field of study, experience and interests as well as the needs of our departments. Find out more about the trainee programme.

Research associate:

Take advantage of the opportunity as a research associate to add to your knowledge and gain professional experience while studying. Unlike in our trainee programme, you will stay in one department, getting to know how it works and the specific activities it does. The research associate position is comparable to a position as a working student. Find out more here

Internship:

Internships in construction and facilities management are possible during summer months and typically last between one and three months. They enable you to get to know our departments, put your knowledge into practice and work together with our experts. Applications can be submitted from the autumn of the previous year, so be sure to apply in time via our job portal.

TU Talent internship:

We are also involved in the annual TU Talent Internship, through which we award several internships for students from the fields of civil and environmental engineering.
