Validity

A single ticket is valid for one journey in one direction for 80 minutes from the time of validation. You can change trains as often as you like, but you may not interrupt your journey. If you buy the ticket in the WienMobil Ticketshop (app and web), single journeys are valid for 80 minutes from the time of purchase.

If you want to take children or pets with you, you can buy discounted tickets.

Discounted tickets

Discounted tickets are valid for children from the 6th to the 15th birthday, for persons doing military service and for persons with a social pass ‘P’ or mobile pass from the City of Vienna. It is also valid for dogs. 

You can buy single tickets here:

  • online in the WienMobil ticket shop
  • in the WienMobil app: You can easily buy your ticket on the go with your smartphone. It is then displayed in the app. Payment is made by credit card.
  • at the information and ticket offices of Wiener Linien
  • at the ticket machines
  • in the trams at the ticket machines
  • in Viennese tobacconists
