How to switch from an annual pass to an annual youth pass

Switching from an Annual Pass VIENNA to a discounted Annual Pass VIENNA Youth is free of charge. The date of application is relevant for the switch: it is not possible to switch to an Annual Pass VIENNA Youth retroactively. 

You can arrange the switch online, in writing or in person.

Here's how to switch to the Annual Pass VIENNA Youth online:

• Log in to the WienMobil ticket shopOpens in a new tab or the WienMobil app.
• Select ‘More’ for your active annual pass.
• Click on ‘Switch to Annual Pass VIENNA Youth’.
• Have proof of age ready to switch to the youth fare.

Make the change in person at an information and ticket office

You can make the switch in person at our information and ticket offices. To make the change, we need your annual pass number and official photo ID.

Step-by-step guide: How to link your annual pass to your account in the WienMobil ticket shop

• Open the WienMobil ticket shop. Register and/or log in.
• Under ‘My profile’, click on ‘Link annual pass’.
• Enter your 10-digit annual pass number and your date of birth.
• Click on ‘Link annual pass’.
• Confirm that you want to merge the data.

How to link your annual pass in the WienMobil app:

• Download and install the app on your smartphone.
• Register and/or log in.
• Click on ‘My account’ in the menu.
• Click on ‘My tickets’ in the lower menu bar.
• Select ‘Link annual pass’.
• Enter the 10-digit number of your annual pass and your date of birth.
• Click on ‘Continue’.
