How it works:

  • 1. Sign up

    Download the nextbike app and sign up for free. In order to verify your account, a €1 deposit is required and will become rental credit to use later on.

  • 2. Scan QR-Code

    Scan the QR Code on the bike with the nextbike app and the FrameLock will open automatically.

  • 3. Enjoy your ride

    Do you want to park your bike during a rental? First activate the park mode in the app and then press the FrameLock lever down to lock the bike.

  • 4. Return

    Return your bike at an official WienMobil Station and press the FrameLock lever down to lock the bike. If you return your bike outside of a station, a service fee of at least € 20 will be charged.

Tariffs

Wiener Linien annual pass owners (“Stammkund*innen) cycle for less with the WienMobil Mix tariffs. Open the wallet of the nextbike app, select “Annual pass owners Wiener Linien” or “Semester ticket owners Wiener Linien”, enter the required data and get your discount.

You can rent up to four bikes with one customer account. However, subscriptions and special conditions only apply to the first bike. 

  • Standard Tariff

    The standard tariff applies if you have not booked another tariff. The maximum daily rate per rental is € 19 / 24 h.

  • WienMobil Mix Tariff

    Subscribers to the public transport company Wiener Linien cycle for less. The maximum daily rate per rental is € 9.50 / 24 h.

  • Annual Tariff

    The first 30 minutes are included with every rental.

  • WienMobil Mix Annual Tariff

    Subscribers to the public transport company Wiener Linien get a discount. The first 30 minutes are included with every rental.

Rental

Scan the QR Code on the bike with the nextbike app or give us a call +43 (0)1 385 01 89. The FrameLock will open automatically.

Do you want to park your bike during a rental?

Standard Tariff:

  • For 0.75 € / 30 minutes.
  • Maximum €19 / 24h and rental!

WienMobil Mix Tariff:

  • For € 0.35 / 30 minutes.
  • Maximum € 9.50 / 24h and rental!
  • Regular Wiener Linien customers travel with more than 50% discount. The discount applies to holders of annual season tickets, semester tickets, (top) youth tickets or climate tickets and will be deposited after registration.
  • If several bikes are rented with one account, the discount applies to the first bike.

Annual Tariff:

  • For €59/year, the first 30 minutes of each journey are included, with each additional 30 minutes costing €0.75. The annual subscription can be purchased via the app or the hotline.
  • If several bikes are rented with one account, the included 30 minutes apply to the first bike.

WienMobil Mix Annual Tariff:

  • The discount for regular Wiener Linien customers* also applies to the annual subscription: you only pay €29.50 / year for the annual subscription.
  • With the WienMobil Mix annual travelcard, the first 30 minutes of each journey are included, with every additional 30 minutes costing €0.35. The WienMobil Mix annual subscription can be purchased via the app or the hotline.
  • If several bikes are rented with one account, the included 30 minutes apply to the first bike.

Note on service fees:

  • Returning bikes away from stations is not permitted and will be penalised with a service fee of at least €20.
  • If the bike is not properly locked, a fee will be charged.
  • Damages will be charged according to the material and labour costs incurred up to a maximum amount of € 75. This does not affect the right in individual cases to assert higher claims corresponding to the actual expenditure.

Return your bike at an official WienMobil Station or within the flex zone and press the FrameLock lever down to lock the bike. The bike is automatically returned.

Please check in your app whether the return was successful and inform our customer service immediately if this is not the case.
