WIENER LINIEN GmbH & Co KG is striving to make the WienMobil app as accessible as possible in accordance with the Vienna Anti-Discrimination Act, LGBl. 35/2004 in its current version, to implement the Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (ABl. L 327 of 02/12/2016, p. 1).
This Accessibility Statement applies to the versions of the WienMobil app for the operating systems Android and iOS.
Status of Reconcilability with the Requirements
Due to the irreconcilabilities and/or exemptions listed below, the WienMobil app by WIENER LINIEN GmbH & Co KG is partially reconcilable with conformity level AA of the "Guidelines for Accessible Web Contents - Web – WCAG 2.1" and the applicable European standard "EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03)" under Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
The WienMobil app by WIENER LINIEN GmbH & Co KG contains application areas which are partially or completely implemented as non-accessible. However, WIENER LINIEN GmbH & Co KG continues to strive towards ideally offering accessible functionality.
a) Irreconcilability with the Accessibility Provisions to Implement Directive (EU) 2016/2102
Following an external audit in May 2022 by the agency Interface Consult GmbH, the WienMobil app does not comply with the provisions of WCAG 2.1 in relation to the following points:
- No landscape view available
We take the view that a correction would constitute an unreasonable effort in relation to the accessibility provisions. An implementation does not make sense given the current status of technology and is therefore not planned in the medium term.
b) Third-Party Contents
Third-party contents which are outside the sphere of influence of WIENER LINIEN GmbH, are exempt from the Directive (EU) 2016/2102. It is not possible to make pronouncements regarding said third-party contents in relation to their reconcilability with the accessibility provisions.
Creation of this Accessibility Statement
This statement was created on 11 October 2022.
The reconcilability of the app with the Vienna Anti-Discrimination Act to implement the requirements of the Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was last reviewed in an audit pursuant to WCAG 2.1 in May 2022 and confirmed to be at conformity level AA.
