Vienna core zone

The Vienna core zone covers all public transport in Vienna, i.e. buses, trams, underground trains, the Badner Bahn and ÖBB trains, as well as most regional bus routes. Exceptions are journeys to and from Vienna Airport (core zone boundary Schwechat), airport buses, Flixbus, City Airport Train (CAT), tourist transport, RegioJet and Westbahn.

Vienna Airport is located outside the Vienna core zone.

This means: A ticket for the Vienna core zone is not valid for journeys to or from the airport. 

You can use these public transport services to travel to Vienna Airport or from the airport into the city. Please make sure that you have a valid ticket for your chosen mode of transport. 

A ticket for the Vienna core zone is not valid for journeys to or from the airport, but only up to the relevant zone boundary.
