Vienna core zone

The Vienna core zone covers all public transport in Vienna, i.e. buses, trams, underground trains, the Badner Bahn and ÖBB trains, as well as most regional bus routes. Exceptions are journeys to and from Vienna Airport (core zone boundary Schwechat), airport buses, Flixbus, City Airport Train (CAT), tourist transport, RegioJet and Westbahn.

Vienna Airport is located outside the Vienna core zone

For your journey to or from the airport, you will need a valid ticket for the Schnellbahn or other ÖBB trains to/from Vienna Airport station. You can also reach Vienna Airport with the City Airport Train (CAT) or an airport bus.
